This groundbreaking CD careens wildy from one style to the next encompassing flavors of funk, Latin, bluegrass, and more. In writing these songs I was equally at home with serious issues of struggling through life on a path I wasn't sure about, to indulging my sense of humor for the first time in songs about homocidal schizos in the love and co-dependent rednecks.

Insights To The Tracks:

Brand New World
As a person who often has trouble dealing with change, this song was written as a lesson to myself, if not others, about making the best of that change. It’s about not looking back, but looking forward and knowing that you have to go on and you can’t give up.

World of Make Believe
Who hasn’t sat back a day dreamed about getting away from it all. Leaving it all behind and kicking back on a warm
beach with a cold drink on some far away island…only to be brutally ripped out of that day dream and reminded of
the real world going on around you. Reality sucks.

You’re at bar one evening when suddenly a voice comes up from behind you and promises you pleasures you’ve never even dreamed of. The smooth subtle voice, quiet though it is, drowns out every other sound in the room. You don’t look at the person, but your mind races at the possibilities presented to you.
Judgment Day
Most people think that Judgment Day happens when you die. The fact is, everyday is Judgment Day. Everyday someone looks at you and makes a decision about how they’ll treat you. And when you find someone who truly comes to you with an open mind and appreciates you for who you are and expects nothing more, it’s a rare and joyous occasion.

Rumpalicious Booty Shaker
This song is about that night club that you always hear about, but no one you know has ever been too. A seedy place where the beats pump hard and the dance floor is full of sweaty, horny people. A place where the darkest corners hold the naughtiest vices of the flesh. And, at the door, is our protagonist inviting you in for the time of your life. Will you go?

Whale Blubber
This song was inspired by a single line in the Jim Carrey film, Me, Myself and Irene in which the characters have a somewhat ridiculous, yet serious, conversation about commitment. It seemed to me the best way to enhance the idea was to set it as an overly serious 80’s style power ballad. Oh so dramatic, yet ridiculous at the same time.
Two Of Me
What happens when a guy with split personalities falls in love with a girl? Well, when one personality is a super nice guy and the other is a homicidal maniac, things can get pretty messy.
Chasing The Sun
This song is about chasing after a seemingly unreachable goal and coming so close before stumbling and having to
start again. If you really believe in it, you’ll keep chasing it and you’ll find a way to attain it.

Underground
This song is my personal dig at the whole rap-core scene in my area that tends to exclude a lot of artists as simply "not heavy enough". It’s a song about broken promises, unreturned favors, and those who don’t have the guts to do
something unique.

Hillbilly Love
A love song about co-dependent rednecks. She can do all kinds of mean things to him and he’ll love her anyway, but there’s just one thing that he can’t stand. That one thing is definite grounds for dismissal.
